Who We Are
Having access to nutritional food in rural and even urban communities can be difficult for many of our neighbors throughout the Northland. Not every community has ample access to a retail grocery store or charitable organizations who can help.
What We Do
Our Mobile Food Pantry Program provides a solution to hunger for families, children and seniors in need. Operating like a “food shelf on wheels,” we load up our trucks with fresh produce, meat, dairy, baked goods, and shelf-stable items and transport them to Northland communities where need is high, but food resources are limited. Once on site, pallets of nutritious food are unloaded and set up in a farmer’s market style. Individuals and families arrive, they’re registered by volunteers, and food is placed into their vehicles. Our truck returns to our distribution center with little to no food leftover having filled an important community need.
