Duluth Distribution Center: Sort, Re-Pack, and Label

Description

Our volunteers help pack food for our programs, re-pack bulk product, and sort fresh produce. Projects may also consist of labeling food items and helping to sanitize our facility to keep it food safe. 

Volunteers must be able to:

  • Stand and walk, lift, bend, carry up to 40 pounds
  • Follow food and personal safety procedures
  • Volunteers of all abilities are welcome. If you need a reasonable accommodation, please contact us at info@secondharvestnorthland.org

A waiver must be submitted prior to volunteering.

Age Requirements: This position will be in a working warehouse. For safety reasons, all volunteers must be 8 years or older. Volunteers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Any volunteer under 18 years old MUST have a parent or guardian signature on their waiver prior to volunteering. Support/Training: Please arrive 10-15 minutes early and wear comfortable clothing in layers and closed-toe shoes. Volunteers will be given instructions and training upon arrival and will have staff support and supervision throughout their shift.
