Our drive-through Mobile Pantry provides a monthly supply of supplemental nutritious food to those who meet income qualifications or are in crisis. Volunteers play a vital role by working outdoors to distribute food directly to cars, helping ensure the process runs safely and efficiently.
Our Cloquet Mobile Pantry is located at Our Savior's Lutheran Church: 615 12th Street, Cloquet.
Volunteers must be able to:
- Stand and walk, lift, bend, and carry up to 40 pounds
- Follow food and personal safety procedures
- Maintain confidentiality
- Be tactful and open-minded while working with neighbors from a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances
- Work outdoors, so please dress accordingly
A waiver must be submitted prior to volunteering.
Age Requirements: This position may be working outdoors in a parking lot around vehicle traffic. For safety reasons, all volunteers must be 15 years or older. Volunteers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Any volunteer under 18 years old MUST have a parent or guardian signature on their waiver prior to volunteering. Support/Training: Please arrive 10-15 minutes early and wear comfortable clothing in layers and closed-toe shoes. Safety-toe shoes or boots are recommended. Volunteers will be given instructions and training upon arrival and will have staff support and supervision throughout their shift.
